Highs and Lows

Quick post... I'm too emotionally exhausted to do much more.

This afternoon on the two hour bus ride home Grace was smiling like crazy, playing games and doing lots of babbling. Repeating sounds and clapping her hands.

She just came alive!!!! It was awesome. She is such a little spitfire. And her whole face scrunches up and her eyes seem to disappear when she smiles. She is the cutest little thing ever!

Some day I'll find the words to express our visit to the orphanage. Right now... I just can't. I'll just say this...

Our Grace is a survivor. God must have BIG plans for her. And we are honored that He placed her in our arms.

  2. Sending you all big hugs. I hope that her happy side shows more and more daily as she grows to understand just how very much she is loved and how safe she is now.

  4. Can't wait to see her big smile in person! 8)

Although seeing Grace's orphanage was emotional, your ability to be able to better understand her, to love her, and to cry with her as she heals is priceless. As she grows older, it will be such a blessing that you'll be able to share more about her early years in China because you were able to visit the place where she lived.

I am constantly thinking of you and praying for you...knowing that you are probably ready to be home now that Grace is safely in your arms. May God fill you with the peace and strength and wisdom that can only come from Him!!

LOTS of LOVE to you all!

  5. I know the feeling. It is a very emotional day to see where our child lived before God, in His amazing grace and mercy, placed them in our arms. May His love be even more real to you after your experience there.
