Father - Daughter Day

...at Fenway Park.

I asked Kailey before she left how many strikes make an out..

"Three" she says confidently.

Then I ask how many outs in a 1/2 inning...

"Ummmm.... I don't know"

Then I ask how many innings in game...

"Ummm... I have know idea"

and frankly, I don't think she really cares.

Like. At. All.

But, that doesn't matter.

Because baseball at Fenway Park really has nothing to do with baseball if you are anything like Kailey and I.

It's about singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and "Sweet Caroline" during the 7th inning stretch.

It's about eating popcorn. and cotton candy. and ice cream.

It's about getting your face painted.

Mostly, it's about spending the day with this great guy who just happens to LOVE the Red Sox and being at Fenway.

and when he's happy...

girls that love him, like Kailey and I...we're happy.

Doesn't matter how many outs are in an inning, who is pitching, or even who wins (although it makes it a whole lot more fun with the Red Sox win).

It's just fun being at the ballpark in the spring.

After this day, Kailey has a new found love for baseball. actually, she has found a new love for being a Fenway with her Daddy.
